Scott has over 20 years of experience practicing law and teaching real estate/law, specifically teaching under Dower School of Real Estate for more than 10 years.In addition, he has written a superb Hawaii real estate book entitled, Hawaii Real Estate Reference Manual which is used in the pre-licensing classes that he teaches.
Scott is extremely involved with Dower School of Real Estate as a pre-licensing instructor for the salesperson’s and broker’s classes, as well as teaching continuing education. He focuses on being interactive with the class while combining his deft knowledge with humor which leads to a strong rapport with his students. Even after completion of classes, Scott is in constant contact with former students in order to help transition them into the real estate field or to provide legal counsel.
Mark D. Clement is a licensed attorney (since 1990) in the State of Hawaii and has litigated several Fair Credit Reporting Act cases obtaining remedies for numerous consumers under the FCRA for derogatory information inaccurately reported in credit reports. Mr. Clement has also gained a passion for educating the community about the credit reporting industry and personal finance by conducting volunteer legal seminars for various organizations in the community of Hawaii. He has now established Credit Reporting Solutions Hawaii through which he presents the Akamai about Money and Credit educational series for teens and young adult consumers; and, the Akamai About Credit Scores, Credit Reports and the Fair Credit Reporting Act seminar for professionals in the Hawaii community assisting consumers in real estate purchase and credit transactions. CRSH also directly assists consumers to proactively cultivate and monitor their credit profile/credit score and provides legal representation to consumers to effectively dispute and correct inaccurately reported credit information.
Mr. Clement is a graduate of St. Louis High School (1983), University of Notre Dame (B.S. Economics/Philosophy 1987) and University of Oregon (J.D. 1990).
Twenty seven years in real estate as an agent, broker in charge and continuing education instructor, and 14 years in custom home building as a design build consultant. Exceptionally versed in real estate transactions and home building, Phil has developed and written continuing education courses in property management, land use requirements, agency and disclosure, discrimination, real estate negotiation and short sales, Phil often consults students who have taken his classes.
A graduate from St. Louis High School and the University of Hawaii, Phil holds a Business Administration degree in Management.
